Introduction – The SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER course certificate provides organizations with course training and other OSH related training. Objectives

1. Identify common hazards in the workplace and advise on appropriate remedial action;
2. Understand and comply with Malaysia’s Law on the foundations and frameworks for regulation of health and safety;
3. Assist in the preparation, review and monitoring of safety policy and procedures including pro-active and reactive strategies, training, audits and safety committees;
4. Investigate accidents and other incidents and prepare cost-effective proposals to prevent recurrence;
5. Communicate effectively on health and safety matters, including the use of reports
6. Describe human and organisational factors affecting health and safety performance assessment – for example, health & safety committee and culture;
7. Undertake effective workplace inspections and recommend cost effective remedial action;
8. Maintain records and information sources to advise management;
9. Advise on appropriate action to minimise fire risk and develop fire procedures;
10. Advise on the chemical and biological hazards and control;
11.Advise on safety in all industries.
